Honoring our ancestors

Theme: honoring ancestors and receiving gifts from your trusted ancestor guides.

Purpose: to remember that hope is ancestral.

Hope is ancestral.
Dra. Rocío Rosales Meza

We'll gather in a safe circle, center in our bodies, and take a sacred, prayerful time to honor our ancestors. Then we'll process in our art journals with paint (or the medium of your choice) and some reflection questions.

What happens at a Sacred Well gathering

Sacred Well is a spiritually based expressive arts practice, held live on Zoom. We come together around ritual and creating, and make room to listen inward.

It's an invitation to slow down and let the arts and ritual do some of the talking.

Your body is the portal.

The Sacred Well bridges body-centered awareness (soma) with artistic expression. We blend somatic movement, poetry, ritual, and art journaling, so the body and the spirit meet. It's a deeply grounded, no-nonsense spiritual experience. If you choose, your journal can become a holy record of your spiritual journey.

Come as you are

You don't need any art skill, and you don't need to have done anything like this before. Bring your curiosity. No talent or experience required, just a willingness to be open and play. Nobody critiques what you make.

If you've done a lot of healing work from the neck up, this is a way to let your body have a turn.

It feels like a warm room where you show up exactly as you are. Expect rest, low pressure, and soft self-care. The art comes from restoration, not from pressure or performance.

It's a down-to-earth place to unplug from the noisy outside world, refill an empty cup, and listen to what your soul actually needs. Intentions don't just get written down here. They get lived out through the body and art.
