Unstructured time to create alongside others.
Art making. Meaning making. Belonging.
Pay what you want, $10–$110. $25 is the suggested amount: give more if it's easy for you, less if it's not.
We create together. I open with a centering exercise, and then it's open: we make things, chat, listen to music, ask each other questions. Sometimes there's a theme, a guided intuitive art exercise, or a fun technique to try out.
You don't have to do any of that. Follow your own agenda. If everyone else is painting, you can be knitting. That's why it's an open studio.
Bring a work in progress, or start from a blank page. Either way you're welcome. Skill doesn't matter here, and there's nothing to get right.
It's also a good fit if you want to keep a creative practice going and could use some company while you do it.
No talent or experience required, just a willingness to be open and play. Nobody critiques what you make, and making things next to other people is a good way to quiet your inner critic and let go of perfectionism.
Can't make this one?
Leave your name and email and I'll let you know when the next Open Art Studio is scheduled.
Open Art Studio is one of the gatherings inside the Artful Embodiment Circle, our membership. If you find yourself coming to several, write to support@bravegirl.me and I'll tell you how membership could work for you.
I'm Michelle Hess, MA, RYT, CPC: poet, mixed media artist, subtle body coach, embodiment mentor, and yoga teacher. I'd love to create alongside you.
